Pre Import
Hazid Integrity requires all piperuns to have flow direction in order to fully create the Process Model of your plant. During the construction of a P&ID not all flow directions are entered into the property field for lines. To allow Hazid Integrity to run configuration and safety analysis searches these flow directions must be remapped in order for the model to be constructed.
The Pre Import options allow you to define how you would like Hazid Integrity to interpret the Undefined flows as they are imported from SmartPlant P&ID. These options will act on all undefined flow within your drawings and as such there is no guarantee that the flows defined by the Pre Import functions will adhere exact ally to the process definition.
You can select to apply the Pre Import functions to different types of Undefined flow such as
- Undefined - No Flow direction has been entered at all
- Normally No Flow - There is normally no flow within this line so it has no flow direction assigned. Hazid Integrity will treat these lines as Undefined as it requires the flow for when it is on the pipe.
- Bi Directional Flow - A pipe section that can sometimes have flow in either direction. As the Process model is a snapshot of the process at one time this must have the current flow direction attributed to it and Hazid Integrity will treat it as Undefined.
For each of the Undefined Flows you may select a number of resolutions to remap it to.
- Keep Original - Keeps the original demarcation as per SmartPlant P&ID. You will need to fix these manually from Pipe Run Mapping to run configuration rules or Safety Analysis.
- Set End 1 Upstream - Sets the flow direction of the Piperuns to be that as the direction the draughtsman drew it originally on the drawing
- Set End 1 Downstream - Sets the flow direction of the Piperuns to be counter to to how the draughtsman drew it originally on the drawing
- Set to Ignore - Sets the Piperuns to Ignore and will not be included in the safety analysis or P&ID rules

The Import/Update inconsistencies only checkbox is used to limit the import/update process to only items that have SPPID inconsistencies on them.
