Add Propagation
Propagations drive the abnormal deviations through the Process Safety Simulation. Propagations stat and end at Ports and connect together to create Propagation chains. A Propagation deviation can change to another deviation and can work in reverse of the flow direction.
To add a propagation select the start deviation from the deviation panel
The Deviation Panel displays the abbreviated names of the Deviations. To view the full name hover over the deviation.
To add the deviation to the Modeling Area select the Port you wish the Propagation to start on and drag the propagation to the end port.
This will open the Propagation Properties containing the information:
- Start Port - The Port the propagation will begin on. To change select the drop down
- Start deviation - The deviation at the start of the Propagation arc. To change select the drop down list.
- End Port - The Port the Propagation will end on. To change select the drop down
- End Deviation - The deviation that the propagation arc will end on. To change select the drop down
- Comment - You can add a comment to the Propagation
Selecting to Add Propagation for Reverse Direction will automatically add another propagation arc in the counter direction on create.
Ports can be active or inactive
on different states. Select the states you wish the Propagation to be available to.
You can also specify associated effects. These are all associated Parameters to allow you o quickly create multiple Propagation arcs within one form.
You can add a Runtime Condition to your propagation with the Runtime Conditions button.
Select Create to the propagation arcs specified
Select Cancel to the from without creating any propagation
