Add Consequence

Consequences receive abnormal deviations which have been propagated through the plant starting at a cause. Consequences are reported in the Safety analysis and used for Risk analysis.

Within the Hazid Integrity Knowledge Model Consequences are associated with Ports.

To Add a Consequence enter the information

  • Port - The Port that the Consequence is associated with. You can select another Port using the Dropdown list.
  • Deviation - The Deviation that the Consequence will generate for propagation through the model
  • Comment - You can add a comment to the Model

You can then add the Consequence descriptor. The Consequence descriptor is the reported item that will be used in the risk assessments. You can add any text you like for the Consequence descriptor.

Selecting Browse allows you to select a Consequence descriptor as set up in the List Editor

Selecting Add Attribute to Add a Property from the Property tree to the Consequence Descriptor.

Hazid Integrity will use the attribute if it is available within the Project to include this in the Consequence descriptor during the Safety Analysis. You can add an attribute by text if you know the attribute name by typing the attribute name surrounded with [ ]

Ports can be active Tick or inactive Cross on different states. Select the states you wish the Port to be available to.

You can select whether the Consequence is of a Hazard or Operability issue or both

Consequences can be associated a class from the list editor by selecting the drop down list.

Select OK to create the Consequence

Select Cancel to close the from without creating the Consequence

Select OK Add Another to create the Consequence and create another one
