Add Port

Ports act as the connection between model Items in Hazid Integrity, You will be unable to Port map a model item in the Project to a Process Port without it having one assigned in the Model.

A Model can store multiple ports for different Inlet and Outlet configurations as needed for the process item you are modeling.

There are three types of port in Hazid, “inlet ports” where the flow enters the model, “unit ports” which define the deviation behaviour of the internal spaces within an item of process equipment (like the vapour space in a tank) and “outlet ports” where the flow leaves the model. They are defined by their own icons

  • InPort Icon InPort
  • OutPort Icon OutPort
  • UnitPort Icon UnitPort

To add the Port to the Modeling area drag and drop it from the Port Panel Portsto the desired location in the area.

Once a Port has been Placed in the Modeling area you can move it to another location if necessary.
