Set Port

The Set Port action is used to map connections on equipment items to Ports.

In order to indicate which connection to map, the rule trigger must be written to search along that connection, e.g. "Find Port Type: Mappable Drain Valve" to specify the Drain port.

Set Port

The port may be mapped as a non-process Port Type or a specific process Port.

Selecting Port Type from the 'Select' menu gives the following options in the 'Port' menu

  • Ignore In - Sets the port as a no-flow/non-existent inlet
  • Ignore Out - Sets the port as a no-flow/non-existent outlet
  • Signal In - Sets the port as a signal input connection
  • Signal Out - Sets the port as a signal output connection

Selecting Port from the 'Select' menu will list the ports available to the model on which the rule is running.
