Creating an Icon Mapping Rule
Icon Mapping rules use only the Properties associated with the symbol and are created in three panels
- Boolean - A boolean value for when more than one Property is used to Map the symbol
- Property - The Property that you will use to map the symbol with. Select from the drop down or use
to select the property from the tree
- Operator - The Operator for the for value. P&ID Integrity allow Greater than (>), Greater than or equal(=>), Less than(<), Less than or Equal(<=), Does not equal(!=) and Equals(==) as operators
- Units - To compare the property against a unite value. You may select the units you wish for the property to be compared against
- Text - To compare the property against a text string. to enter a blank text field type a "space" in the field
- Number - To compare the property against a numerical value
- Regex - You can use Regular Expressions to create complex search algorithms for the property to compare against
- Value - The Value that you will compare.
Model - The Model you wish the symbol to be mapped to. You can select this from the drop down or from the Model tree by selecting
To add the mapped model to the Project Icon mapping select the ave mapping check box.
The Trigger sequence shows the sequence the rule will run if multiple properties are used for mapping.
To add a new trigger select
To remove a trigger select it from the list and
Select to save the Icon Mapping Rule
Select to close the form without saving
