Toolbar

The Data Editor toolbar features a wide range of operations for displaying and manipulating information in the Data Grid.

  1. Project Location - Displays the drawing group and/or drawing data editor is currently open on.

  2. Filter Options:

    • - Save Filter and Column Setup - Saves the currently active filters and columns for future use.

    • - Restore Filter and Column Setup - Reloads the saved filter and columns

    • - Filter Autosave Settings - Open the autosave settings:

      Select whether autosave is on or off and specifiy the autosave interval.

    • - Filter Main - Applies any set filter - See Project Filter, Model Filter, Equipment Filter, Property Filter, Rule Filter, Symbol Filter, Advanced Filter

    • - Clear Filters - Disable all active filters - click filter main button to un-filter the grid.

  3. Edit Options:

    • - Edit Selected - Allows you to type in the selected cell in the grid.
    • - Edit Selected (Linked) - Allows you to type in the selected cell in the Linked Data grid
    • - Activate Linked Data Grid - Activate the linked grid for editing
    • - Promote Columns with Linked Data
    • - Promote Selected to Main - Transfers selected items from the linked data grid to the main grid.
    • - Hide Duplicate Attribute Columns

  4. Refresh Model Tree

  5. Remove Empty Columns - Removes any columns with no data in the current grid.

  6. Highlight Options:

    • - Open Drawing - Opens the current drawing in Drawing Viewer
    • - Select in Aurelia - Opens Aurelia wth the selected item highlighted
    • - Highlight Main Equipment in Word Viewer
    • - Highlight Linked Equipment in Word Viewer
    • - Highlight Selected - Opens Drawing Viewer with the selected item highlighted
    • - Highlight Linked
    • - Highlight Selected and Linked - Opens Drawing Viewer with the selected item and linked items highlighted
    • - Auto-Highlight - While this is enabled, every item selected will be automatically highlighted in Drawing Viewer
    • - Auto-Highlight Linked Equipment - While this is enabled every item selected and linked items will be automatically highlighted in Drawing Viewer.
    • - Highlight All - Highlights every item in the grid in Drawing Viewer
    • - Clear Highlight - Clears all highlights from Drawing Viewer
    • - View Actions/Tasks in Action Management - Opens Action Manager with any actions or tasks linked to the selected items
    • - Hide Non-Selected - Removes non-selected items from the grid.

  7. Related Data Options:

    • - Linked Grid Mode Switch - Switched the linked grid between displaying project or rule data when a rule filter has been applied.
    • - Show Related Data - Displays data from linked items or Associated Property Lists against items in the main grid. Related data cells are highlighted yellow.
    • - Show Related Data (Linked Grid) - Displays data from linked items or Associated Property Lists against items in the linked data grid.
    • - Accept Related Data - Writes the displayed related data into the parent items

  8. Miscellaneous Options:

    • - Export to Excel - Creates a .xlsx document fro the current grid view. The file browser will open allowing you to specify a filename and save location.
    • - Create Action - Opens the Action Creation window to create an action linked to the selected item.
    • - Create Task - Opens the Task Creation window to create a task linked to the selected item.
    • - Add Equipment - Opens the Equipment Creation window
    • - Remove Equipment - Deletes the selected equipment
    • - Update Equipment Graphics - Provides the option to changed the graphics of an item
    • - Connect Selected - Creates a connection between two items of equipment. Only becomes active with two items on the same drawing select.
    • - Clear Selection - Unselects all select items

  9. Linking Options

    • - Hide Non-Selected (Linked)
    • - Activate Equipment Link Mode
      • - Link Selected - Creates a link between the selected equipment
      • - Deactivates Equipment Link Mode.
    • - Unlink Selected Items

  10. Writeback Options

    • - Activate Writeback Mode - Enables data to be written to the source file. Clicking this will refresh the grid to only show columns for which you have writeback permissions - see Data Editor Permissions
    • - Perform Writeback - Writes the data in the main grid back to the source file.

  11. Search Field - Search for a particular value with the grid. Use the Forward Back Arrows buttons to cycle between results
